The June disability (SSDI) payment schedule is almost over. This means that most groups of retirees in the United States can now enjoy such a benefit. Although it is true that not all Americans have already gotten their monthly check.
To have the check already available, it is mandatory to belong to groups 1, 2 or 3 of United States retirees. But this time we are talking about group 4 of SSDI beneficiaries. Coincidentally, Disability beneficiary group 4 also shares requirements with the rest of the retirees in group 4.
In reality, we are dealing with a group that encompasses many different types of benefits. Therefore, not only SSDI beneficiaries will have access to the next check, but also other types of retirees who meet the established requirements.
It is very easy to find out if you are among the group of retirees who will get a check on June 26th. You just need to have SSDI or any other Social Security and meet two requirements. You don’t need to do anything else beyond that.
June 26th SSDI Eligibility Requirements
June 26th will be the day that closes the calendar for Social Security payments for the month. So any retiree who does not have their benefit check by then will need to take a good look at whether they should claim the payment from the Administration.
The SSDI payment will arrive on that day to beneficiaries who meet the following requirements:
- Have a retirement benefit since after May 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Thus, those retirees who were born between those two days and have an accepted benefit since after May 1997 will be able to get a benefit on June 26th. The amount of the check will carry this year’s 2024 COLA included, so it will be higher than any previous year’s payment.
Even so, there is no increase in this SSDI benefit this month, but rather we will collect the same payment that we have collected in all other months of this year 2024. Also, remember that the check will arrive much sooner if you activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is essential if we want to have the money available on the same day it is sent.
