The benefits of VA Disability and SSDI in the United States may reach a large number of United States citizens in the coming weeks. The exact day of payment of these benefits depends directly on the group of retirees to which we belong. It is true that the VA Disability payment is sent only once a month, but the SSDI check can arrive on different days.
So, after the payments sent on February 3rd and 12th, 2025, the Social Security Administration will send more SSDI checks in the coming weeks. If you are part of Retiree Group 1 or 2, you will not be able to receive these next checks, but that means the payment should already be in your checking account.
Upcoming SSDI and VA Disability payments
These two groups have to be separated because they both get their payments on different days of the month. Likewise, SSDI checks do not arrive on the same day for everyone, but, as we have already mentioned, on several different days. For that reason, it is advisable to know exactly which group of retirees we belong to.
VA Disability Payments
In this case, the checks for these benefits always arrive on the last working day of the month, with some exceptions. In the case of February, we will have to wait until the 28th to find the usual amount in our checking account.
After that, we will have to wait until March to receive the new check, so we will not get any more payments unless we have also accepted Supplemental Security Income. This other benefit will also arrive on March 1st for eligible Americans.
SSDI payments
On the other hand, SSDI payments will arrive on two different days in the coming weeks. To these payments we must also add the payment of Supplemental Security Income, although we must be eligible to receive it, obviously.
So, before the end of February we will have two new SSDI payments:
- February 19th.
- February 26th.
In this sense, the payments on February 19th will only be for group 3 retirees. So if you have received a disability benefit since after May 1997 and, in addition, you have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month, you will be able to get the benefit on this day.
The last of this month’s payments will be on February 26th, 2025, and it is only for retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month. In addition to that, you must also have been receiving the benefit since after May 1997.
Remember that if your Social Security payment is not for Disability but you do meet these requirements, you can still get the check. It all depends on whether you are part of one of the aforementioned groups.
