The U.S. Retiree, Disability, VA and SSI Pay Schedule is certainly a very useful tool for retirees. Regardless of the type of benefit we have, knowing at what time of the month we will be able to cash our check helps us to properly organize our finances.
If we add to that the fact that it is possible to get an extra monthly benefit in addition to our regular benefit, the financial relief can be much greater. Payments arrive on four different days of the month to the four different groups of retirees. To belong to each group, certain requirements must be met.
In addition, receiving this extra pay means that we will receive two payments each month. And before the end of January we will be able to receive two payments, although it is true that in order to do so we not only have to have a Social Security check, but we must also meet other requirements. Who gets two payments in January 2025?
In order to get these two payments, you need to have two different benefits accepted. On the one hand, it is necessary to have a retirement check. On the other hand, you must also have a Supplemental Security Income benefit. Both are the two checks that we will get before the end of January 2025.
The days when the Social Security Administration will send out all the checks are:
- January 3rd. Payments for retirees prior to May 1997.
- January 8th. Check for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- January 15th. Check for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- January 22nd. Check for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
- January 31st. February Supplemental Security Income payment.
It is possible to get two of these checks, but only two. One will be the January 31st payment and one will be a check for any of the other days depending on the retiree group to which you belong.
The February SSI benefit will arrive early in January 2025 because February 1st will be a weekend. For this reason, the Administration sends it earlier. Finally, keep in mind that in order to get payments on the same day they are sent, you need to have Direct Deposit activated. If we do not have this collection method, we will have to wait a few days until we finally have the money in our current account.
