With the June Social Security payment schedule now complete, United States SSDI benefits arrive in July for all beneficiaries. These benefits will reach all eligible households, although not always on the same days.
In total, the Administration will send out 4 checks per retirement in the month of July. These checks may arrive this week or in the next few weeks. Each SSDI beneficiary has only one retirement check per month, although this payment is compatible with other different benefits.
What we should note for sure is that the collection method chosen will cause the SSDI payment to arrive on the same day of mailing or a few days later. This gives each beneficiary a choice as to whether he or she prefers to have the payment as soon as possible or not. The truth is that the faster collection method is not mandatory, although it is advisable in many cases.
July SSDI First Payment
The first of the retirement check payments, whether SSDI or another type of Social Security benefit, will be on July 3rd, 2024. This payment is for group 1 retirees, and getting it is easy, as we only have to meet one requirement.
Group 1 is made up of retirees of all classes. So both age and disability retirees can obtain this benefit without any problem. Likewise, survivors’ retirees are also eligible. Any type of retirement can fall under Social Security Group 1.
But it is true that we must meet one requirement. This requirement is that you must have received the retirement benefit before May 1997. The Administration divides SSDI retirees into two large groups and the first of these large groups is group 1, which gets its benefit on July 3rd and has the aforementioned requirement.
If we are not part of this group, we have nothing to worry about. The Social Security Administration will send other checks in the next Wednesdays of July. If we are part of group 2, the payment will arrive on July 10th. July 17th will be for Group 3 retirees, and finally, SSDI Group 4 will get their benefit on July 24th.
With Direct Deposit, the money will reach the citizen’s pocket immediately. Without this collection method we will still be able to have the money available, although a few days later. The collection method does not change the day the Administration pays us SSDI, but it does change the day we get it.
