United States citizens can get more than one benefit per month, as long as they have more than one benefit accepted. In fact, in the same week a U.S. citizen can get both SSDI, SSI and SNAP Food Stamps. However, certain requirements must be met.
The timing of the payments of these three benefits is totally different, but sometimes they can coincide in the same week. This July, SSDI recipients who are Group 1 retirees and have SSI will have both payments in the first week. Add to that living in a State that can send SNAP Food Stamps at the beginning of the month and you have three different checks without having to wait.
When do SSDI, SSI and SNAP Food Stamps arrive?
For the sake of clarity, the SSI payment will arrive on the 1st of July for all recipients. On the other hand, SSDI Group 1 recipients will be able to receive their benefits on July 3rd. To be part of group 1 retirees, it is mandatory to have had the Social Security benefit since before May 1997.
The remaining payment we are talking about, SNAP Food Stamps, will come sooner or later depending on the State we live in. To see it better, let’s take a look at the complete schedule of payments for this benefit in July:
