As a new month begins, United States SSDI beneficiaries may get a new retirement check. They may also get a new Supplemental Security Income payment. In that case they would be getting two different checks to enjoy a better monthly budget.
However, not all SSDI beneficiaries can eventually get two checks each month. It is mandatory to be eligible to receive these two checks and the truth is that many more United States citizens are eligible for these payments than Americans think. Having at least one of these payments is quite a financial advantage, but already collecting two of the checks ensures much higher financial stability.
If you want to know at what time of the month the Social Security Administration sends out all the SSDI checks you should take a look at the payment schedule. This calendar is the official one, so we can easily check when we will have the money available in our bank account. Best of all, we can find out if we get one or two checks during the month.
SSDI Payments in July
The payments for this benefit will arrive on four different days, but to those payments we must add the extra check for Supplemental Security Income. This benefit allows you to have two different checks in the same month.
To get a clearer picture, let’s take a look at all the SSDI payment days and requirements for July 2024:
- July 1st. Supplemental Security Income payment to Supplemental Security Income recipients.
- July 3rd. SSDI checks for Group 1 retirees, i.e., those beneficiaries with a benefit since before May 1997.
- July 10th. Retirees with a check after May 1997 and birthdays between the 1st and 10th get the benefit on this day.
- July 17th. Retirees with a check after May 1997 and birthdays between the 11th and 20th get the benefit on this day.
- July 24th. Retirees with a post-May 1997 check and birthdays between the 21st and 31st get the SSDI benefit on this day.
Although it is true that the payment schedule ends on July 24th, it is also true that we can get two SSDI checks in the same month. To do this, we must have Supplemental Security Income accepted. If this is the case, we will have the payment available on the 1st of the month and another one on any of the other paydays.
