New payments from the United States’ SSDI Disability could soon be arriving in American households. This type of benefit is a real financial relief for the beneficiaries who receive it, but it is true that not all Americans can receive the benefit on the same day it is sent out. Each American receives a payment on a different day of the month.
Therefore, if you have an accepted SSDI benefit you could receive a new check in the next few hours, so pay attention to the payment schedule and requirements. Citizens with a Disability payment who are in group 3 can easily enjoy this new payment of up to $4,018.
Of course, it is true that not being eligible for this payment does not mean that we will not get our SSDI disability retirement benefit for the whole of February 2025. Having the retirement payment accepted means getting the check every month, no matter what. The only difference is the day on which we will have the money available.
Direct Deposit payment for disability retirees (SSDI)
The next payment of this check for disability benefits from the United States Social Security (SSDI) will be on February 19, 2025. This new benefit is not only for disability retirees, but it is true that these retirees are among the eligible beneficiaries.
Thus, the requirements to get the payment on February 19, 2025 are:
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month. To meet this criterion, it is not necessary to have a birthday in February, but in any month of the year.
- Have a retirement date after May 1997. The year of retirement is key to being part of one group of retirees or another. And in this case we need to meet this condition.
So, thanks to the Direct Deposit collection method, we will be able to receive payment on the 19th of February 2025. However, if we do not have this collection method activated but we are eligible to receive this payment, we will be able to enjoy the check a few days later.
Usually, we have to wait a maximum of 3 days to access the money from the SSDI benefit when we don’t have Direct Deposit activated, but sometimes it can be a little longer. In the event that we don’t get the check within the next week, we can always claim our benefit.
Remember that the maximum check is $4,018 per month and that the average SSDI payment is around $1,850 per month, but each beneficiary gets a different amount. Disability payments depend on the beneficiary’s history, so each American gets a check according to theirs. Furthermore, once we start collecting the retirement check, we will not be able to change the amount except on very rare occasions.
