If you have an accepted SSDI Disability Benefit, you may need to check whether you are eligible for the last of the United States Social Security payments for the whole of March. In this month we will be able to receive one of the four checks sent by the Administration, but it is true that each payment day has associated requirements.
If we are in group 4 of beneficiaries we will be able to receive this check without problems, but it is true that it is not possible to collect a check within the month of March beyond this payment day. The checks run out in this month of 2025 and after this payment on March 26th we will have to wait until April to have a Social Security check available again, either for disability or for any other reason.
Who will receive the last Disability Benefit payment in March 2025?
Retirees in group 4 will be the ones to directly receive the new Disability Benefit payments, although it is true that not only beneficiaries with a disability can receive this monthly payment. Among retirees, anyone who meets the conditions to be part of group 4 can receive this check without any problems.
Therefore, we must pay close attention to the mandatory requirements to receive this next payment on March 26th. These requirements are:
- Have a check accepted since after May 1997.
- Have your birthday between the 21st and 21st of any month of the year. The year of birth does not matter either.
Only if we are within this specific group will we be able to get the check on this day. To that we must add something really important, and that is that if we have not activated Direct Deposit we will not be able to get the payment on the same day it is sent, but will have to wait a little longer to get the benefit check.
What is the increase in the March Disability Benefit?
In March, the maximum payment of the Disability Retirement Benefit (SSDI) reaches the same figures as in the previous months of 2025. Therefore, the amount we received in January or February will be the same as we will receive in March, but it will not be the same as we received last March 2024.
The increase this year has been 2.5% thanks to the COLA, which has increased SSDI benefits to $4,018. This maximum amount is not suitable for all beneficiaries, but it is true that it is possible to reach the check. In the case of having a payment for retirement due to age, the check can reach up to $5,180, although the same thing happens, since it is difficult to see a retiree with such a high benefit.
