In households across the United States, SSDI payments are a major source of income for thousands of United States citizens. What’s more, many of these citizens do not receive any other type of benefit, making the Disability payment absolutely essential to them.

Even so, not all Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments sent by the Social Security Administration reach all beneficiaries. It is important to emphasize that we can only get one SSDI payment each month, but we can know in advance which day of the month it will be paid. This is a great advantage, as it allows us to plan our household finances efficiently.

All this aside, it is also essential to remember that Americans who retire due to age, not just those on SSDI, often have no other source of income. That is why it is extremely important to be very familiar with this payment schedule. If we keep the full payment schedule in mind, we won’t have to depend on anyone else.

Upcoming SSDI payments

The next SSDI payments in the United States will be sent on April 9, 2025. This check will only be for Group 2 retirees, so if you have an accepted benefit and are part of this specific group of beneficiaries, you will be able to enjoy this check to the fullest.

To be part of group 2, only two requirements are necessary:

  1. Have a check from after May 1997. Any benefit accepted after that time falls under this group.
  2. Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.

There are no other requirements to be part of group 2, but all Americans know that the collection method directly influences the day on which a retiree gets their SSDI payment or any other benefit. Therefore, we must activate Direct Deposit if our objective is to get the payment on the same day it is sent.

Americans who have not activated this method of collection will still be able to collect their payment, but will have to wait about three days to do so. This means that instead of getting the check on April 9th, they could get it on the 10th, the 11th or any of the days after that.
