Find out the requirements to get all of the new Social Security checks in this week

In the first week of April in the United States we will be able to receive a new Social Security check that will give us up to $5,180, but it is not the only payment sent by the Administration these days. In addition to that payment, there are other checks from the Administration that will reach the pockets of eligible Americans.

If you are eligible you can even receive both checks in your checking account, although it is true that not all Americans can enjoy both benefits. Likewise, retirement payments in April may arrive a little later, but it all depends on which group of retirees each American belongs to.

If we are eligible for the first of the Social Security payments, we will be able to receive this new payment. If not, we will have to wait a little longer, although it is true that before the end of April we will enjoy our benefit without any problems.

Who will get two Social Security payments soon?

Only Group 1 retirees can receive the first of the retirement payments. Similarly, only SSI beneficiaries can enjoy the check on April 1st, since this benefit is totally different.

In the case of having an SSI payment together with our spouse, the payment can reach $1,450. In the case of having an individual check, the benefit can be $967, but it is true that this would be the maximum achievable payment.

To find out the exact days when the Administration will send the April checks, here we can find the complete payment schedule:

Payment Date Payment Type
April 1 Supplemental Security Income payments.
April 3 Payments for pensioners prior to May 1997.
April 9 Pensioners after May 1997 are in this group. You must also have your birthday between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
April 16 Pensioners after May 1997 are in this group. You must also have your birthday between the 11th and the 20th of any month.
April 23 Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. Your birthday must also fall between the 21st and 31st of any month.

Without a doubt, keeping track of this information is key to enjoying a higher standard of living, as the payments of this benefit are of great help to American beneficiaries. Likewise, retirement benefits can reach $5,180, but that is only in the case of having a maximized check during one’s working years.
