Thousands of United States citizens can get a payment of about $1,800 on the upcoming August 21st. To have this check available it is only necessary to have a United States Social Security retirement payment and meet two requirements. The requirements are related to the beneficiary’s own information, so it is easy to determine if we are eligible or not.
The check for this August 21st will arrive in the next few days for Group 3 retirees only. This group will be the second to last group to get a check for the month of August. The Social Security Administration will send a separate payment in the days following the mailing, but this other payment will be for Group 4 retirees only.
Also, Americans who are eligible to receive this payment will only have a check available on the same day of mailing if they activate the faster collection method. If they do not activate this collection method, the money will appear a few days later, so they will have to wait a little while to have it definitively.
Requirements for August 21st Social Security payment
Before looking at the requirements it is worth noting that it doesn’t matter what type of benefit you have to get this payment. So whether you have a Disability check or another type of payment you will be able to get payment from the Social Security Administration just the same.
Keep in mind that it is only possible by meeting these two requirements. So make sure you meet both of them in order to have this payment available to you:
- Have a Social Security Administration retirement from after May 1997 onwards.
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month of any year.
The day of birth is only important in determining the day, but neither the year nor the month matters. So it doesn’t matter what part of the year you were born in. It is not mandatory to be born in the month of August to get an August check. Likewise, it does not matter if you were born in a specific year. What matters is to have a birthday between the named days and to have the payment since after May 1997.
As for the amount, each citizen gets a totally different and individual payment. Some citizens get a payment of $1,800 while others may have a benefit of around $4,873 per month. It all depends on one’s background.
