The USDA has announced that the COLA will take effect in the United States SNAP Food Stamps to reach up to $517 in one particular State. It is true that only in Hawaii will we have such a high payment, but the rest of the checks will also increase. What is also true is that we will not see these increases until October.
So we will have to wait until October to see that SNAP Food Stamps has increased. The benefit check will reach $292 per family member after the COLA is applied. While the increase may not be much, any financial help is always welcome.
Ultimately, the SNAP Food Stamps payment will increase before Social Security payments and other similar benefits. Starting October 2024 we are going to have this increase in the checks for this benefit. Remember that the figures discussed above are the maximum amounts and that each beneficiary has his or her own check set up.
