Social Security is sending more payments in the next week

On March 19, 2025, many United States citizens will get the pleasant news that they have a new retirement check. This will be the payment day for Group 3 retirees, so if you are part of that group, your check could be available soon. Of course, to get your payment on March 19th, you must meet an additional condition.

If we bear in mind that the benefit does not reach all retired Americans on the same day, we need to be familiar with this payment schedule. The Social Security check for each day of delivery is for a different group and on the next day only one group can get this payment. Thus, the rest of the retirees receive their benefits on some of the other days in March.

What’s more, many of the pensioners have already got a payment in the last few days, as the Social Security Administration sent payments on the 3rd and 12th of March, but those payments were only for groups 1 and 2. If you are part of one of those groups the money should already be in your current account, so claim your benefit if not.

How to get the Social Security payment of March 19th?

The payments of March 19th will only be for group 3 retirees. This group of retirees is made up of beneficiaries of all kinds. So, it won’t matter if we have the check for retirement due to age, disability or any other reason.

There are two requirements that we must take into account:

To all this we have to add another additional requirement: having Direct Deposit activated. But it is true that this other requirement is only for those who want to have the money immediately in their checking account. If we don’t mind waiting a few days until we have the retirement check, we can choose not to meet this requirement.

With regard to the amount we get, it is true that we could get $5,180, but that is only in the case of having a maximum retirement benefit for old age. Each Social Security check is unique and the amount we get will depend on our employment history. Some retirees will get a bigger check after the Fairness Act, but many others will continue to collect payments from previous months.
