The Social Security benefit check changes every year thanks to the COLA. Therefore, across the United States we find that one month in a year the payment is larger than the same month in the previous year. So the October, November and December 2024 payments will be higher than the October, November and December 2025 checks.

However, each increase is totally different. The checks are individuals, which makes it so that someone can reach an amount up to $4,873 and someone else doesn’t have a check that big. It all depends on how much Social Security we have collected so far.

Social Security with October, November and December increases

Pay attention to all payments in the coming months, as we will have larger Social Security checks than in previous years. These are the official payment schedules:

October

The month of October will be uneventful. The Social Security Administration’s October payment days will be:

Then it will be necessary to wait until November to get a new check for both retirement and disability.

November

There is only one irregularity this November, as we will have an extra Supplemental Security Income payment. Also, the Group 1 payment arrives on a different day than usual, although it is not a delay either.

Once the November calendar is over, we move on to payments for December, the last month of the year.

December

While it is true that the December Supplemental Security Income arrives in November, it is also true that we may collect some payment of this benefit in this month, although this is also an irregularity. The payment is actually an advance payment for January 2025.

Remember to activate Direct Deposit as a collection method in order to obtain a Social Security benefit on the same day of remittance.
