The Social Security Administration of the United States sends a new check every month to beneficiaries who are expecting to receive their usual payment. However, not all citizens get their payment on the same day of the month. And on top of that, we could get our tax refund in the same week.
In order to get the next payment, we have to meet a mandatory requirement. But that’s not all, as it is also necessary to meet an extra requirement if we want to get the benefit on the same day it is sent out.
All this correctly configures the payment schedule: the year of the beneficiary’s retirement and the day of birth. If we control both aspects, we will be able to know exactly when we will be able to receive the benefit check each month.
Who gets the Social Security check in 24 hours?
As we have already mentioned, only the first of the Social Security groups will be able to receive the benefit on the next day of shipment. This group is made up of beneficiaries who have a benefit from before May 1997. But if our goal is to have the payment on the same day it is sent, we will have to take into account that we must meet another requirement.
Thus, Social Security benefit payments will arrive on March 3rd only and exclusively to retirees who:
- Have a check from before May 1997.
- Have activated Direct Deposit as their collection method.
In this way, we will be able to receive the benefit on the same day, March 3, 2025. The rest of the retirees who do not have their check from before May 1997 will also be able to enjoy the check during the month, but a few days later.
Remaining Social Security payments in March 2025
Thus, Social Security payments for retirees after May 1997 arrive on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of this month. Therefore, we find that the remaining schedule of payments for March is as follows:
- March 12th. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. You must also have your birthday between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
- March 19th. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. Your birthday must also fall between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- March 26th. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. Your birthday must also fall between the 21st and 31st of any month.
With this in mind, we can ensure that all Social Security retirees, regardless of the type of benefit or the amount they receive, will be able to get their payment before the end of March. Of course, each one receives a different amount, since the check that Social Security sends is completely individual.
