The last of the Social Security payments for the entire 2024 calendar year will reach United States households very soon. But keep in mind that not All United States citizens will be able to enjoy this benefit, as only one group will get the payment in question.
However, there are just two requirements to be met if we want to get these checks, so if we look at the list of requirements we could have this payment available for this very week. It is important to have your Social Security already accepted in order to get it. It cannot be in process.
Be that as it may, if we are not part of this group we can always get the payment on a different day. Although it is true that since this is the last of the December 2024 calendar payments we should be aware that the check should already be in our checking account if we are not eligible for this next Social Security check.
Requirements for the last Social Security payment of 2024
If we are expecting to get this last Social Security payment in 2024 we must keep in mind two fundamental requirements. On the one hand, we must take into account the year of retirement. On the other hand, we must take into account the day of birth. With only those two elements we will have enough information to know if we are part of the group or not.
To be exact, the payment on December 24th will be for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month. So if you meet both requirements, the payment will arrive on that day. And even though the maximum amount reaches $4,873 not everyone will be able to get this maximum benefit.
Remember that this payment should actually be sent on the 25th day of December, but since that day is a Christmas holiday, the Social Security Administration sends it on the immediately preceding business day. Likewise, without Direct Deposit we will not have access to this check on that day, but the payment will appear on the following days of December.
