Disability retirees and other types of Social Security beneficiaries may get two checks in early July 2024

Social Security will send some new checks soon

Social Security will send some new checks soon

It is possible to get two different Social Security checks within the first few days of July. However, you must be eligible to receive these checks, as some beneficiaries are not eligible and will only be able to get one of the two benefit checks.

If you live in the United States and have a Social Security benefit, it is possible that in the next few weeks you will have the money available in your checking account. Still, there are other payments available, such as Supplemental Security Income, that ensure we have two checks in the first few days of the month.

Therefore, we can conclude that if we have the Social Security payment accepted and a check from Supplemental Security Income, we may be able to collect two checks in the first days of July. If not, then we could also get two payments of these benefits throughout the month.

Can I get two Social Security checks in July?

The next two Social Security payments in July will be on the 1st and 3rd of the month. On these days, eligible retirees will have access to the retirement benefit and Supplemental Security Income. It is possible to either collect both payments or just one of them.

In addition, both Disability and Age Pensioners will also receive this payment. The only thing to keep in mind is to be able to meet the requirements. In order to have it clearer, let’s see the payment days, which benefits are sent and what are the requirements:

  1. July 1st, 2024. Supplemental Security Income payment. To get this payment we must be eligible for this benefit. It is mandatory to be 65 years of age or older or have a disability. The maximum payment is $943.
  2. July 3rd, 2024. Social Security check for group 1 retirees. Group 1 beneficiaries are those who have had a benefit since before May 1997. The maximum payment for retirement is $4,873, but for Disability it can reach a maximum of $3,822.

If we add to that activating Direct Deposit as a collection method, the money will be available in our current account immediately. In addition to that, we should also keep in mind that we could get the July 1st SSI and Social Security on any of the other payment days of the month, which will be on the 10th, 17th or 24th, depending on the group of retirees to which we belong.
