The United States Social Security payment schedule usually follows a pattern. By being able to know each day’s payment requirements, we can keep in mind the time of the month when we get each check. However, this also means that there are payment days when we will not collect our benefit.
Each collection day for each group is a different day. So, in total we will have four paydays for United States citizens with a Social Security check. Just by knowing the requirements for each collection day we can mark on the calendar at what time of the month we will get the money.
Pay attention to who will not get next week’s collection, as only a specific group will be able to enjoy this monthly benefit on this day. The rest of the retirees should already have a check from Social Security, since this payment will be the last of the month.
Retirees not getting Social Security in the coming week
Although thousands of United States citizens will get a Social Security check on September 25th, other groups will not be able to enjoy this monthly check. If you are among these groups, you will not be able to collect the payment on this day.
Retirees who do not get the September 25th Social Security check are:
- Those with a Social Security benefit from before May 1997.
- Retirees with a post-May 1997 check with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- Retirees with a check after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
Therefore, in order to get the September 25th Social Security payment, we must meet two requirements. The first is to have a retirement check from after May 1997. The second requirement is to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
All types of retirees are eligible to get this payment, so both Disability, age and other retirees will be able to get a check. Just meeting these two requirements is enough to receive the payment. So remember to have Direct Deposit activated to get the payment the same day it is sent. If not, you will receive it a few days later.
