Social Security retirement checks are part of the economy for thousands of households in the United States. And the Disability benefit is one of those checks, and a large percentage of Americans get such a payment. If you have an SSDI benefit and have not yet gotten your June check, it could become available in the next few days.
In total, the Social Security Administration pays up to 4 different checks to retiree groups. Each beneficiary can only get a maximum of one of these benefits. In addition to that, Disability retirees are also eligible for Supplemental Security Income, but that is an extra payment that is separate. Do you know yet if you will get your June 18th Disability payment?
Who collects the June 18th Disability payment?
Only two requirements are necessary to be eligible to get the new June 18th Social Security Disability check. However, there is nothing negative if you are not part of this group. Retirees who do not collect on June 18th may get a check on June 26th.
Be that as it may, pay attention to these requirements:
- Have a Disability or other retirement benefit since after May 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month.
Only if both requirements are met, with no exceptions, the Administration will pay us the check for retirement on June 18th. Remember that the payment can be for Disability or for some other type of benefit.
On the other hand, it is also important to keep in mind that the collection method we choose will determine the day on which we will have the money available. If we choose Direct Deposit, the money will be available on the same day it is sent. If we do not choose this collection method, the Disability check will appear a few days later in our checking account.
