At the time of the collection of the Disability payment from the United States Social Security, we can find out the approximate date on which we will receive the payment each month. The payment days on the retirement calendar are different for each group. In total, there are four days that the Social Security Administration pays to retirees, but each day is for a different group.
Thus, we cannot receive two different payments during the month, but can only receive one payment every month. This is the case except for the SSI payment, which is compatible with the Disability check but does arrive once a month to supplement the retirement payment. In any case, the important thing is to know all the information and thus mark whether or not we will receive the new payment.
Who gets the new Social Security Disability payment?
The day we have to mark on the calendar to get the new Disability payment is March 19th. On this day, only a specific group can receive this benefit. So if you are not on the list of retirees, you will not be able to enjoy this check, but will have to wait for another payment day.
After the payment on the 19th, we will have another day in March, so you could get your benefit on that day. But to get the Disability payment on March 19th, we will have to:
- Have been receiving the benefit since after May 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month.
Only then will we be in group 3 of pensioners and, therefore, be able to enjoy the benefit on this very day in March. If we are not part of this group, then we will have to check which days of payment are left in March.
What is the maximum amount for Disability in March 2025?
Disability payments in March 2025 can be as high as $4,018 per month. This means that a retiree who has maximized their benefit will be eligible for such a check. However, it is not easy to obtain a maximum disability check and we usually receive a much lower benefit.
Disability payments can be around $1,600, but it all depends on the beneficiary’s situation. Also, remember that if your disability benefit is too small, you can always apply to get SSI and add up to $967 more to your monthly benefit.
