The last of the Social Security groups in the United States will soon receive their March retirement checks. This month, thousands of beneficiaries can receive a benefit, as usual, but the day on which they receive each of the payments changes depending on the group to which they belong.
This means that if you have a Social Security payment for retirement due to age or disability, it will not matter when it comes to knowing which group you belong to. The elements that determine payment day are, on the one hand, the year of retirement and, on the other hand, the day of birth. Group 4 is the last to get the check each month, but that doesn’t have to be a disadvantage, since with organization it is possible to avoid financial problems.
When does Group 4 get their March Social Security check?
Group 4 retirees will be able to enjoy their March Social Security check in the last week of the month. If you are expecting to receive payment on the previous mailing days and it is not yet available to you, it is possible that you are part of this group 4. In that case, you will be able to enjoy your new retirement check very soon.
The day on which the Social Security Administration will send the payment to group 4 will be March 26, 2025. After this payment day, there will be no more payment days in the March benefits, so we will have to wait until April to enjoy a new monthly check. Without a doubt, knowing the payment day can be essential to perfectly control our economy.
Requirements to be in Social Security Group 4
To be part of this group of retirees in the United States, we only need to meet two requirements. Social Security checks are sent to different groups on different days of the month depending on both the year of retirement and the day of birth.
The payment for March 26, 2025 will only be for retirees who are part of group 4 and the requirements to be part of this Social Security group are:
- Have a retirement benefit from after May 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Both requirements must be met. It is not possible to collect the payment for March 26th if we are not in this specific group, since each payment day is different for each group. In addition to that, remember that if you do not have Direct Deposit activated you will not be able to get the benefit payment on the same day it is sent, but will have to wait a little longer, around three days, for the money to become available.
