When it comes to sending all the Tax Return documentation to the IRS in the United States, as well as applying for certain tax benefits, military personnel and members of the VA Disability program can apply for a credit to improve their financial situation.
If we take into account that many of the beneficiaries of the VA Disability program have no other source of income, it is important to know that any of the Tax Breaks or similar benefits offered to us by the IRS can make a big difference in our lives. Even so, it is true that not all Americans can apply for these EITC payments in the same way.
The IRS can advertise this type of Tax Break so that all eligible Americans can apply for it. Once we are aware that we can apply for it, we find that both military personnel and VA Disability members can improve their finances.
Who can apply for the IRS EITC?
There is still time for eligible Americans to apply for the EITC from the IRS, but the sooner we do all the paperwork the better, as it will mean we get the money related to this Credit sooner.
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is only for eligible Americans regardless of whether they are in the Military or VA Disability, but these groups may fall within the eligibility criteria. Two types of criteria must be distinguished. On the one hand, the basic criteria. On the other hand, there are two additional rules for the military.

Thus, the basic rules for obtaining the EITC from the IRS are:
- Have earned income.
- Not exceed the limit on investment earnings.
- Have a valid Social Security number.
- Be a citizen of the United States (it is also valid to be a resident alien).
- Not submitting Form 2555 (Foreign Earned Income).
- To this we must add the other two rules for the military: having nontaxable military pay and having been stationed outside the United States.
In any case, if we are thinking of applying for the EITC as military personnel or VA Disability and have questions about it, we can contact the IRS to resolve them all.
When does the IRS EITC arrive?
Depending on the year, the EITC may arrive earlier or later. However, it is true that this IRS credit usually arrives around the 3rd of March. Therefore, we can get it next month if we are eligible.
Once we have sent all the documentation, all that is left is to wait, but it is true that we find that we can request extra information once the process starts to work. The IRS will be able to help us resolve any doubts we may have in this regard.
