One of the best times of the month for Social Security beneficiaries, whether SSDI or other types of benefits, is collection day. This day may be different depending on what month it is. But what is certain is that every month we will get our United States retirement check if we have payment accepted.

With the peace of mind that every month we will get a new check from Social Security, SSDI recipients can budget monthly based on the amount they receive. And it’s true that not all retirees get the same amount, so we need to keep this in mind when we retire.

Also, Disability beneficiaries get a maximum SSDI of $3,822, but that is only for a specific group of Americans. Each beneficiary gets a different check, so from that budget we will have to make our plan.

It is good to keep in mind that there are other additional payments we can apply for, such as Supplemental Security Income. This payment can increase our retirement check by as much as $943 a month. So if we can apply for it, the SSDI payment will be higher.

Who gets the next of the SSDI payments in July?

Only Group 1 retirees, regardless of whether they are on SSDI or another type of benefit, are eligible for the upcoming July 2024 payment. This group consists of all beneficiaries with a benefit prior to May 1997. So if you applied for your check before that year, you should be able to get payment on the first of the July retirement paydays.

The exact day of collection will be July 3rd. Remember that on this day the Administration will send out the check, but not all Americans get paid at that time. In order to receive the SSDI payment on that day, you must also have activated Direct Deposit. The type of retirement does not matter, but the collection method does.

On the other hand, on the 1st of the month, the Administration will also send the Supplemental Security Income. This other extra check will allow eligible retirees to receive the extra $943 mentioned above. The payment of this benefit is usually made on the 1st of the month and there are no exceptions in July.
