Before the end of April 2025, the IRS in the United States will close the Tax Season and, therefore, all American taxpayers should have submitted their Tax Return. However, it is possible to request an extension, although we shouldn’t worry about that now. After all, the IRS does not grant an extension of the Tax Season to all Americans.
Be that as it may, if we want to get our Tax Refund as soon as possible we should forget about the extension and follow all the IRS guidelines to speed up the process. In that case, before the end of March we could have the Tax Refund in our checking account, something that will be very useful for a better financial organization for the coming months.
How can I get my IRS Tax Refund as soon as possible?
There are several ways to get your IRS Tax Refund faster. Ideally, you should follow all the instructions from the Internal Revenue Service, but following the two main ones will be enough to shorten the time it takes to receive your Tax Refund.
File your taxes electronically, for free, with the #IRS Free File tool: https://t.co/3byJqk9fiF

So, there are two things to bear in mind:
- Send the documents electronically. FreeFile is a good, free tool that will help you do this, as the IRS itself points out.
- Activate Direct Deposit for the collection of the Tax Refund. If we do this, the money will take much less time to become available.
To this we must also add that there are other aspects to take into account when sending the documentation to the IRS. On the one hand, doing it without making any kind of mistake can be key, as it will mean that the IRS will not have to check any extra documentation.
On the other hand, it is also key not to forget any documentation. If we are filing our 2024 taxes, we must include each and every one of the documents related to our taxes. Only in this way will we be able to get our Tax Refund as soon as possible.
Finally, the sooner we send in the Tax Return, the sooner we can enjoy the Tax Refund. This type of process is much more agile the sooner you send it in. Even so, we could face delays in the checks and in the delivery of the Tax Refund due to cuts in IRS staff, but that is something that is out of the hands of United States citizens as these are decisions made by the United States Government.
