Nowhere in the United States is there anything like Alaska’s economic system, which makes extensive use of the state’s natural resources. In this sense, both oil and gas are two elements that serve to increase and improve the state’s economy.
Thus, even the citizens of this state can receive a stimulus check thanks to the sale of these resources, greatly improving the individual economy of each citizen. If we are eligible for payment, we could have one of these stimulus checks with more than $1,700 in our pocket within a few days.
Therefore, getting the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) is a huge financial relief, since it is a totally free check for which we only have to comply with the conditions established by the government. If you are eligible, you will get the payment very soon and you can use it for whatever you want without having to justify it.
Conditions and requirements for the $1,700 stimulus check
First of all, we must bear in mind that this stimulus check belongs to Alaska. So the rest of the states in the United States cannot get this payment, since the Permanent Fund Dividend is something from Alaska.
Knowing that, let’s look at the general requirements:
- It is compulsory to have lived in Alaska during the year 2024. This means that citizens who have not lived in Alaska in the previous year cannot obtain this payment. There is also an absence of more than 180 days allowed, but this is for exceptional cases.
- Not living in another state during 2024. It is possible to have left Alaska in 2024 but not to have had residence outside the state during the previous year.
- Stays of 72 consecutive hours. Even if we leave the state, it is mandatory to have been in the state for a minimum of 72 consecutive hours to be eligible to receive the PFD stimulus check.
- Clean criminal record. If we have a record for serious crimes after January 1, 1997, we may not be able to obtain this stimulus check.
Thanks to being within this range, on February 20th, 2025, we will receive the Permanent Fund Dividend, which will award just over $1,700 to those eligible citizens.
