In just a few days the new Social Security retirement payment will appear in the checking account of thousands of United States citizens. But not all Americans with a benefit will be able to get this check, since it is necessary to meet certain requirements to be able to collect payment on this particular day.
Thus, the new payment is only available to group 2 beneficiaries. This group has very specific conditions and if we meet them we will get the payment. If we do not meet them, the payment will not arrive on this day, but we can be sure that we will still get the payment on some of the payment days in September.
Therefore, try to pay attention to the days on which the Social Security Administration sends out checks and check the requirements, as this is the best way to efficiently organize your household finances. Just by knowing a little bit of information you will be able to mark on the calendar the day when you will have the money available and next September 11th could be that day.
Requirements for the next Social Security
Only two requirements need to be met in order to get the next Social Security payment in September. As we have already mentioned, the payment of this benefit is on September 11th, so it will be next Wednesday when the Administration will pay this monthly check to this group.
To have access to the payment we have to be part of group 2 retirees and the requirements to be within that group are:
- Have a Social Security benefit since after May 1997.
- Have your birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.
Therefore, if you have had your benefit since before May 1997, the check will not arrive on this day. But it will arrive on a different day of the month. Retirees prior to that date always get their check on the first of the month, since that group is number 1. In September, the Social Security Administration sent this payment on the 3rd day of the month.
Remaining Social Security payments in September
After the September 3rd payment, the Social Security Administration will send other checks on the 18th and 25th of the month. To get each of the payments, you must be in a specific group of beneficiaries.
For the 28th payment, you must have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month. The 25th payment is for citizens with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month. Retirees in these groups also have check since after May 1997.
