Knowing the schedule of Social Security payments can be a great advantage for Americans who only get one check in retirement. By being able to mark on the calendar the day on which we will get the payment in the United States we will have a better chance of having a better standard of living.
And in the next few days the first of the July 2024 Social Security payments will appear in checking accounts. Likewise, there are other different payments that may arrive throughout the month. What is certain is that if we have the benefit accepted we will be able to get it before the end of the month.
On the other hand, we should also keep in mind that there is another payment available only to eligible beneficiaries. In total, we can get two Social Security checks each month and some retirees will have these two payments in the first week of July 2024.
Social Security Checks in the First Week of July 2024
In total, the Social Security Administration will pay two different checks in the first week of July. On the one hand, there is a payment on the 1st of the month. On the other hand, there is a payment on the 3rd day of the same month of July.
The payment on the 1st of July is the Supplemental Security Income payment for the month. This payment is made only to eligible retirees. In fact, you do not have to be a retiree to get a check. If you have an accepted SSI benefit, on the 1st of the month Social Security will pay you the July check.
On the other hand, July 3rd is for Group 1 Social Security retirees. This group is beneficiaries with an accepted benefit from before May 1997. There are no requirements other than having Direct Deposit activated in order to get the money immediately once the Administration sends it.
Remaining Social Security Checks in July 2024
After the July 1st and July 3rd Social Security payments, the Administration will send out different checks before the end of the month. The other checks will be on the 10th, 17th, and 24th. Each day has its own different requirements.
There is a common requirement for these three checks and that is that it is mandatory to have the benefit since after May 1997. Likewise, it is also necessary to have the day of birth at a specific time of the month for each of the days.
The 10th day payment is for retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month. The July 17th check is for retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month. Finally, the July 24th payment is for beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
