Disability benefit (SSDI) recipients in the United States can get the next of their retirement payments in a matter of days. And that’s because the June payment schedule is about to begin, which means it won’t take much longer for the payment to reach the first of the retiree groups.
But it should be noted that not all recipients of a Disability (SSDI) benefit can have the new payment next week. Only a specific group of Americans can receive this Social Security benefit, as there are requirements to be met in order to get the check.
Requirements for the new SSDI payment
In order to get the next SSDI payment, there is a mandatory requirement that must be met. That requirement is that you have been receiving a retirement benefit since before May 1997. Other than that requirement, there is no other requirement that determines that we can get the benefit payment on that particular day.
However, in order to have the money available at the moment the Social Security Administration sends it, it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is the fastest of all. If we meet these requirements, on June 3rd we will have the money available to enjoy SSDI without any problems.
More SSDI payments in June 2024
After the June 3rd payment for pre-May 1997 retirees, the Social Security Administration will send out more checks during the month. Thus, any beneficiary with a post-May 1997 benefit will have access to an SSDI payment on one of the following days:
- June 12th. Payment for retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- June 18th. Beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- June 26th. Retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month get their benefit on this day.
June 26th will be the last day of SSDI payments for the month. So after that day we will have to wait until July to enjoy a new retirement payment. And remember to activate Direct Deposit to get your check as soon as possible.
