In the month of August, thousands of United States citizens waiting to get a Disability check will be able to enjoy this new benefit in the coming weeks. The Social Security Administration sends this new check to this group of retirees if they meet certain requirements. The truth is that throughout the month the SSA will pay more than 4 checks on more than 4 different days.
The ideal in these cases is to know the payment schedule well, since it will make it easier for us to be organized with respect to our household economy. If we keep this in mind we will be able to know the exact day in which the SSA will pay the check for Disability. Even so, it is true that the type of benefit will not matter in order to get or not get this payment. Likewise, it will not matter how much to get the check earlier or later in the month.
Upcoming August payments for Disability Beneficiaries
In total, the Social Security Administration will send up to six different checks to disability beneficiaries during the August calendar year. Four of those checks are for retirees and the remaining two payments will be for Supplemental Security Income recipients.
However, in the next few weeks we will have only a portion of these new payments in August, as some of them have already been mailed to citizens. On August 1st and 2nd, SSA sent checks to SSI recipients and pre-May 1997 retirees, respectively.
But the rest of the retirees will be collecting the Disability payment in the following days:
- August 14th.
- August 21st.
- August 28th.
August 14th will be for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month. The 21st will be for beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month. The 28th payment will get Disability retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
In addition to these payments, on August 30th we may get a second SSI check due to a calendar irregularity. It is unusual to get this second payment of this benefit, but sometimes it can happen.
How do I get my Disability payment as soon as possible?
Earlier we named the days on which the SSA will send payments to United States citizens with a Disability payment. But getting it on the same day of sending is possible only if we activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is really useful and fast, since we will not have to wait even one day to get the money in the current account.
In the case of not having this collection method activated, the payment for Disability or other Social Security reason will take about 3 days to arrive. Sometimes it may arrive sooner or sometimes it may arrive a little later, but what is certain is that it will appear in the checking account within a few days after it is sent.
