The December Social Security Disability payments schedule is now available for all those United States citizens who are waiting to get their benefit. Each of these checks will arrive on a different day of the month depending on the retiree group to which the beneficiary belongs. However, there is nothing to worry about because we will always get the payment each month.
In September we will have four different payments for retirees. However, it is not possible to get more than one of these payments. It is only possible to get one retirement check per month, with some exceptions. However, Disability beneficiaries can also get SSI check from Social Security, but that is a different benefit.
Who gets the new September Disability payment?
The Social Security Administration will send the new September payment to this group of Americans. This group will be group number 1 and the Administration will send out a check on the 3rd day of September. To be part of this group we have to meet only one requirement. Even so, if we want to get the payment on the same day of sending, we must take into account that it is mandatory to fulfill a second requirement.
So, in order to get the Social Security Disability retirement payment on September 3rd we must take into account two things:
- Have Direct Deposit activated as a collection method.
- Have had a Social Security benefit since before May 1997.
If you meet these requirements, your September 3rd payment will be in your bank account on the same day. If you only meet the second of these requirements, the money will appear, but a few days later. Likewise, we should also keep in mind that not only Disability retirees get this check, but any other beneficiary can get it.
Maximum Disability payment in September
As with the other months of 2024, this year’s September Disability check has a maximum benefit of $3,822. However, not all beneficiaries get this large amount. Each retiree has a different payment.
On the other hand, there are other maximum checks depending on the type of benefit:
- Disability Retirement: $3,822.
- Full Retirement Age: $3,822.
- Early Retirement Age: $2,710.
- Retirement at age 70: $4,873.
The payment for each depends on work history, so a Disability retiree will have a check commensurate with the last years worked before disability. In any case, Social Security studies each case individually.
