Any citizen of the United States who has an accepted retirement check knows that they will receive their disability payment every month without any problems. This is undoubtedly one of the great advantages of having a retirement payment, since thanks to it we can receive a monthly income to cover our expenses.
However, we must bear in mind that not all citizens receive a payment on the same day of the month. Each group of retirees can collect on a different day and in the month of February we will have four payment days, as usual. So checking the payment days will be enough to mark on our personal calendar when we can receive the check.
Who receives Social Security Disability on February 12th?
To receive payment on February 12, 2025, there are two mandatory requirements to keep in mind. On the one hand, we must have the check after an exact date. On the other hand, our birthday must be between two specific days.
For that reason, to have the clearest idea, we can see what those exact requirements are:
- Have a Social Security check, either for disability or for another reason, from after May 1997.
- Have your birthday between the 1st and 10th day of any month.
Within these parameters, we will be in group 2 of retirees. This group is the one that always collects on the second Wednesday of the month, with some exceptions. It is not possible to collect on the second Wednesday of the month if we do not meet both of these requirements.
To all this we must add that if we do not have Direct Deposit activated it will be impossible to access the benefit on the same day it is sent. Only in this way will we be able to receive the check, since if we do not activate this method of collection we will have to wait around 3 days to have the money.
What is the maximum amount for Disability in 2025?
The payments we will get throughout 2025 will have a maximum amount of $4,018 per month. However, each citizen receives a completely different check that depends on factors such as their work history.
The same goes for retirement payments by age, since each payment is totally individual. Of course, in the case of not having a very high check for Disability, we can always apply for other benefits such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and SNAP Food Stamps.
But in the case of applying for these extra benefits, we must bear in mind that the day of collection is different from the day of the Disability check, since they are totally different benefits. Of course, all these services are fully compatible, so we can apply for them all at the same time and directly enjoy many different payments throughout each month if we are eligible.
