The next day on the calendar for the payment of disability benefits in the United States is closer than it seems. If you are the sole recipient of this type of benefit and want to know if you will receive a check in the next few hours, you only have to check if you are eligible for the payment.
And to be part of the group that gets this payment, you only need to meet two requirements. It is easy to meet them, but it is true that if you do not meet them originally, you will not be entitled to this new disability payment, since your Social Security group will be a different one.
One of the requirements is to have been receiving the benefit since after May 1997, while another is to have your birthday on specific days. Each group of retirees, whether for disability or another Social Security group, has its own requirements and knowing them is very important for all of them.
How to get the next Disability Payment?
As we have already mentioned, there are two requirements for getting this new Social Security Disability payment. In any case, for the new payment that the Administration will send on March 12th, we have to meet the following requirements:
- Have the check accepted since after May 1997.
- Your birthday must fall between the 1st and 10th of any given month.
The year of your birth does not matter, nor does the month. The only thing that matters in this case is the day on which you were born, so as long as your birthday falls within the first ten days of any given month, you are part of the group.
How to quickly receive payment for disability?
Another factor to take into account when organizing our finances through Social Security Disability payments is that beneficiaries can choose their preferred collection method in order to get their Social Security benefit as soon as possible.
Those who choose Direct Deposit can receive their payment on the same day that the Administration sends it. If we do not do this, the payment will arrive around three days later than the day it was sent. Each and every one of the retirees will receive their benefit regardless of the group to which they belong and the collection method chosen.
So the most important thing, when all is said and done, is to keep an eye on the Social Security payment calendar, as this will help us to know at what point in the month we will directly receive a new payment of our benefit, whether for Disability or for some other reason.
