The Social Security payment schedule for both United States Disability beneficiaries and all other citizens is marked for the entire month of September. And each of these payment days has different requirements. So if we do not meet the requirements, the payment will not be able to reach our current account.
In total there are two requirements to take into account. The first one is related to the year of retirement. The second requirement is related to the date of birth of the beneficiary. Thus, Disability retirees who have a birthday on certain days will not be able to directly enjoy this new payment sent by the Social Security Administration.
However, it is true that even if you are not part of the group that gets the new Social Security retirement checks, there is nothing to worry about. By having our Social Security payment accepted we will get our Disability check at any time during the month. Just check the payment schedule to find out the exact day.
Which Disability checks are not arriving today?
Today’s payment on September 18 is only for Group 2 beneficiaries. This means that if we are part of any of the other groups we will not be able to get the check, but will have to wait for a different payment day. In fact, it is possible that we have already gotten the payment, since the Social Security Administration sent one check to two groups in the previous weeks.
If your birthday falls between these days you will not get the payment:
- Disability Retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- Disability Retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
Therefore, in order to get a Social Security check, you will need to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any given month. These payments also require you to have applied for retirement after May 1997. If we take all this into account and meet the requirements, the payment on the 18th of September will be for us.
Even so, there are more payment days in the current month of 2024. Retirees with a check prior to May 1997 got their payment on the 3rd day of September. Retirees after this month receive their collection in September on the 11th, 18th or 25th day, depending on their birthday, as mentioned above. Also, to get this payment it is not necessary to have a Disability check, since any type of beneficiary with a monthly payment can collect if they meet the conditions.
