As a new month begins, the United States Social Security Administration announces a new payment schedule for retirement checks. Likewise, Disability payments arrive on the same days as long as the retiree meets the requirements.
Therefore, we must check the payment schedule carefully to know exactly when in the month we will be able to receive a check from the Social Security Administration. There are a total of four different paydays each month for retirement checks, to which we must add a Supplemental Security Income payment, although not every month this payment arrives due to certain irregularities.
Be that as it may, the payment of these benefits is very important for the beneficiaries of the Social Security Administration, so knowing on which day each payment arrives is vital for those who only receive a check for retirement and have no other source of income. Pay attention to the October, November and December paydays and mark on your calendar when you will get your monthly check.
Social Security Administration payments in October, November and December
Although the Social Security Administration usually follows a payment schedule, it is true that sometimes there are irregularities. To make sure you get your payment during the month, it is best to check the entire calendar. If we look at what day of the month we can get the payment, we can organize our household finances as efficiently as possible.
Thus, the checks from the Social Security Administration in the coming months will arrive as follows.
October
The month of October will have no irregularities of any kind. The Social Security Administration payment days in October will be:
- October 1st: Supplemental Security Income payments for all Supplemental Security Income recipients.
- October 3rd: Pensioners with a benefit prior to May 1997 can get this payment.
- October 9th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 1st and 10th receive payment on this day.
- October 16th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 11th and 20th receive payment on this day.
- October 23rd: Retirees with checks after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st get payment on this day.
After that we will have to wait until November to get a new check.
November
There is an irregularity in this month, since we will have an extra Supplemental Security Income payment. Also, the Group 1 payment arrives on a different day than usual.
- November 1st: Supplemental Security Income payments for all Supplemental Security Income recipients.
- November 1st: Retirees with a pre-May 1997 benefit can get this payment.
- November 13th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 1st and 10th get payment on this day.
- November 20th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 11th and 20th receive payment on this day.
- November 27th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 21st and 31st receive payment on this day.
- November 29th: December Supplemental Security Income payment. This is because December 1st is a weekend.
Once the November calendar is over, we move on to the December payments.
December
Although it is true that the December Supplemental Security Income arrives in November, it is also true that we may get a payment of this benefit in this month, although this is also an irregularity.
- December 1st: Pensioners with a benefit prior to May 1997 can get this payment.
- December 11th: Retirees with checks after May 1997 with birthdays between the 1st and 10th get payment on this day.
- December 18th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 11th and 20th receive payment on this day.
- December 24th: Retirees with post-May 1997 checks with birthdays between the 21st and 31st receive payment on this day.
- December 31st: Payment of Supplemental Security Income for the month of December. This is because December 1st is a weekend.
It should also be noted that the payment for Group 4 retirees arrives one day earlier than usual because the fourth Wednesday of the month is the 25th, Christmas Day.
