The Social Security Disability and other retirement benefits are really important in the United States. Millions of Americans do not get any other benefit during the month. So this income is essential for citizens to be able to directly enjoy a more comfortable life.
Thus, Disability checks are sent by the Social Security Administration on 4 different days of the month. And on each of these days we find that citizens get check depending on the group of retirees to which they belong. So, check if you are eligible for the new payment and enjoy the new check on that day.
How to get the new Disability payment?
In order to get the next Disability payment, it is not enough to have a check from Social Security SSDI. You also need to have a few other requirements in place. If we meet them, the payment of up to $3,822 will arrive in our checking account. If not, the payment this particular one will not reach the checking account.
Still, considering that this payment is the last of the August payments for Disability beneficiaries, we should know that there will be no more retirement payments for the month. So if we do not get this month’s payment we may have to claim the benefit from the Social Security Administration.
Be that as it may, we must keep in mind the two mandatory requirements. The first one is to have a retirement benefit, whether it is a Disability or not, accepted after May 1997. The second requirement is to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
There are no other mandatory requirements, but we must take into account something very important to get the check as soon as possible: the collection method. If we choose Direct Deposit as the collection method, the benefit money will appear immediately. If not, we will have to wait a few days for the benefit to appear in our checking account.
More Disability payments in August 2024
While it is true that the August 28th payment is the last of the retirement payments, disability or otherwise, before the end of the month the Social Security Administration will send an extra check pertaining to another additional benefit.
This extra check is not a retirement check, but a check to supplement retirement payments. The benefit is called Supplemental Security Income and provides a check of up to $943 each month. The amount we get depends on our monthly income.
Thus, we should note that the payment of this September benefit will be brought forward to August 30th. This is due to the fact that September 1st is a weekend. For that reason, the beneficiaries of this check, whether for Disability or who are over 65 years old, will get the payment a few days earlier.
