The Tax Refund is reaching more and more homes in the United States every day, as the IRS is starting to send out a large number of these stimulus checks in order to clear the backlog as quickly as possible. While it is true that many who have already filed their tax returns still do not have their refund money in their pockets, it is also true that there is not much longer to wait to get their annual tax payment.
If we keep a close eye on the information related to the IRS payment schedule, we will be able to know approximately when we will get the Tax Refund check. These types of payments should not be part of our regular budget, as we may not receive them, but it is good to know when we will have access to the money.
When do the new IRS Tax Refunds arrive?
The day we get the payment of the Tax Refund from the IRS depends directly on the day we sent the Tax Return. But even so, we could encounter complications, so it could be the case that even if we sent the Tax Return three weeks ago, we still don’t have the money available.
The IRS has to check all the documentation and then accept the Tax Refund Direct Deposit. It usually takes 3 weeks from the time we send in our Tax Return. So, depending on the day we sent in this documentation, we will receive the payment sooner or later.
To give you an idea, here is a rough calendar to help you figure out when the Tax Refund will be sent depending on the day we sent in the Tax Return:
- February 24: direct deposit could be around due on March 17
- February 25: direct deposit could be around due on March 18
- February 26: direct deposit could be around due on March 19
- February 27: direct deposit could be around due on March 20
- February 28: direct deposit could be around due on March 21
- February 29: direct deposit could be around due on March 22
- March 1: direct deposit could be around due on March 23
- March 2: direct deposit could be around due on March 24
- March 3: direct deposit could be around due on March 25
- March 4: direct deposit could be around due on March 26
- March 5: direct deposit could be around due on March 27
- March 6: direct deposit could be around due on March 28
- March 7: direct deposit could be around due on March 29
- March 8: direct deposit could be around due on March 30
The payment of this stimulus check is sent via Direct Deposit in many cases. Only if we have activated this option will we be able to enjoy the money the moment the IRS sends it. Otherwise, we will have to wait a few days until we finally have the money in our checking account.
